Location: Santa Fe, NM
Inspired by histories of natural, urban, and industrial environments, Hinrichsen uses photography, video and sound to create stunning multimedia installations. A native of densely populated Western Europe, Hinrichsen is especially inspired to document her perceptions of the vast lands and varied climates of America, as well as the short yet eventful transformative history behind the land. Hinrichsen received her BFA in Sculpture from the Academy of Art and Design in Stuttgart and her MFA in New Genres from the San Francisco Art Institute, where she was honored the McMillan award. She has exhibited her work internationally.
