///SCOTT MCCULLOCH : SCULPTURE

Scott McCulloch completed his BSA at the College of Charleston, South Carolina. He teaches at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina, where he recently received his MFA. He works in a variety of media but tends to focus most of his creative energy producing sculptural objects from different types of metal. His involvement with research at the Oregon Institute of Marine Biology inspired him to view the materials he creates with in a different light and to explore the relationship between nature and hard metals through his art. Scott's work encompasses searching for and developing an awareness and knowledge of the philosophical, social, and visual properties inherent to the materials he uses and revealing the elemental forces locked within them.
