///GABISILE NKOSI : PRINTMAKING

Gabi Nkosi’s expressive and haunting prints and paintings form a powerful narrative about apartheid and domestic life and community in her native South Africa that resonate across physical and cultural borders. Gabi’s death in 2008 at the hands of a domestic partner, render the spirit and themes of her work tragically personal and poignant. Nkosi earned her BFA from Durban University of Technology in South Africa and up until her death, Nkosi worked as Community Programs Coordinator at Caversham Centre for Artists and Writers in South Africa.
