///HEATHER JOHNSON : INSTALLATION, MIXED MEDIA

Heather holds an MFA in Photography from the California College of Arts and Crafts, San Francisco, and a BA from the University of Maryland. Her work explores fragments of the familiar and investigates the spaces 'between'; physical and psychological distances that exist.  She focuses on the process of searching - linking empty, open landscapes with the experience of wandering.  Her work employs photography, embroidery and text to explore concepts of time, distance and alienation.
