///SHAUN CASSIDY : SCULPTURE, INSTALLATION, DRAWING

Originally from London, England, Shaun received his BA from the Norwich School of Art and then later completed a Master of Visual Arts at the Unviversity of Alberta in Canada. He now resides in Rock Hill, SC where he is an Associate Professor at Winthrop University. A prolific artist, he works in a wide range of mediums, creating works on paper, installations, concrete sculptures, and welded steel sculpture. Cassidy's large-scale constructions mime and mine the territory established between stage and audience. The work focuses on emotional memories in an attempt to provide the viewer with a transformative experience delivered within the framework of a formally and materially inventive structure.
