///CATHERINE UEHARA : PERFORMANCE, INSTALLATION

Born and raised in northern California, Catherine received a BA from the University of California at Davis and an MFA from Hunter College in New York. Her artwork does not lend itself to easy categorization as her focus is on the exploration of the inherent and applied identity of objects, organisms, and thought processes in our universe. Her art encompasses painting, sculpture, photography, and installation. Catherine enjoys working in cooperation with architecture to transform an environment into a new experience and, through her artwork, explores the way individuals accumulate and become encrusted with matter and experience.
