Corine is new to the art world. She began working with clay in evening adult education classes and has studied a variety of artist techniques and styles. Her focus is on funtional objects, with an emphasis on surface design. She discovered with each clay piece that its design and creation is a conduit of energy. The impressions on her pottery are forged from memories of her youth, surrounded by the beauty of the canyon lands, the desert rock formations, and American Indian art in Utah and Idaho. Corine is committed to community involvement, learning from and teaching others. For her, "...there is more to working with clay than just creating pots. It's about building communities, sharing ideas, and encouraging others to find their creative path."
