///JENNIFER KINCAID : CERAMICS

"In my work I explore the ideas of time, age, and basic human emotions through the context my own experiences.  Using simplified figures and forms in clay, I seek to express, with complex layers of texture and color, that which is universally meaningful." 

A native and resident of North Carolina, Jennifer has been a professional visual and ceramic artist for more than twenty years.  She has twice been a recipient of the North Carolina Arts Council and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Arts And Science Council Artist Project Grant and is a past Affiliate Artist of the McColl Center for Visual Arts. Her exhibits include the American Craft Council Shows, the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art in Winston Salem and juried and invitational exhibits in over a dozen States.  Her work is in public and many private and corporate collections and exhibits at the Blue Spiral Gallery in Asheville, NC and Christa Faut Gallery, Cornelius, NC.

Jennifer graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Queens University. Her postgraduate studies include ceramics at Alfred University and Penland School of Crafts.  Her studio is at Clayworks, Inc., Charlotte, NC.
