Lynette earned her BFA from the Ringling College of Art & Design. She has been employed as a full-time Arts Educator for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools since October 1999. She primarily works with a variety of painting and drawing materials. While at the McColl Center, Lynette began experimenting with the technique of using rose petals to create images. Her subject matter is often the self-portrait.
When asked about her residency, Lynette said:
"I will be forever thankful for my residency. The opportunities provided there are truly phenomenal. After having such an amazing studio experience, my work seems to want to emerge on a much grander scale. Not merely in terms of a larger size, but within the context of a more voluminous voice."
