Creating her own mythology, Freeman uses digital prints, animation and video to explore the intersection of Western science with mythic, religious and popular iconographies in the pursuit of a more universal “truth.” Freeman received her BA in Fine Art and German Studies from Oberlin College and her MFA from Rutgers University. She is Assistant Professor of Digital Media at UNC Charlotte and her work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally.
