Blending classical technique with modern analysis, Ralph Helmick creates sculptures that absorb and explore the complexities of 21st century culture. Embracing aspects of high technology in design, his goal is to create sculpture that promotes meditative reflection.
Helmick obtained a BA in American Studies from the University of Michigan, attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, and received his MFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and Tufts University in Massachusetts. He has realized over thirty major public commissions and has exhibited his work nationally.
