Addressing the issue of transformation of the body and the spirit
through sculpture and installation of old fabric and found objects, Mary Tuma develops an "emotional landscape" with the use of clothing forms that reference this intangible place. Tuma received a BA in Costume and Textile Design from University of California at Davis and MFA from University of Arizona. She has extensively exhibited her work nationally and internationally and has appeared in Art in America.
