Timothy McMahon is McColl Center for Visual Art's 8th Art Teacher Resource Resident from Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Currently an art teacher at Hopewell High School, Timothy has been teaching for thirty years. McMahon considers himself a painter, although he has worked with drawing, printmaking and ceramics. His current focus is painting landscapes. Having traveled over the years, primarily in the western United States , where he sketched and photographed the natural environment, he now draws on that documentation as visual and emotional inspiration for his oil paintings.
