///ANNA TORMA : FIBERS

Born in Hungary, Anna Torma has spent the past 15 years living and working in Canada. Torma uses embroidery to create works that integrate elements of narrative, collage and sketching. The work, she says, 'incorporates motifs from folk art, children's drawings and contemporary art.' Since receiving her degree in Textile Art and Design from the Hungarian University of Applied Arts in 1979, Torma has exhibited in the United States, Canada and Hungary. Her work has been featured in Fiberarts and is in the collection of the Ministry of Culture, Hungary.
