///ERIKA DIAMOND : MIXED MEDIA AND INSTALLATION

Often using onion skins and sewing in her art, Summer Affiliate Artist Erika Diamond explores craft and common materials, seeking to reveal the beauty in common materials by "discovering new ways to use the things we see every day." She uses repetitive processes to create an accumulation of objects that often reference the body and physical experience. Since receiving a BFA in Sculpture from Rhode Island School of Design in 2000, Diamond has exhibited in New York, Los Angeles and Charlotte.
