Investigating public opinions and contemporary beliefs, Dia uses photography and performance art as a catalyst for dialogue while arousing public concern –with social, political and racial issues. Dia received a BS in Applied Communication and Sociology from Appalachian State University and a MA in Liberal Studies from UNC Charlotte. His work has been exhibited throughout the Southeast and is included in collections in Mexico.
