
ENVIRONMENTAL ART AT FREEDOM PARK

Thanks to a grant from the RBC Blue Water Project, artists Daniel McCormick and Mary O’Brien from McColl Center for Visual Art, working with Charlotte Conservationist, James Collins (2010 Urban Conservationist of the Year—Mecklenburg County Soil and Water Conservation District), have designed and built storm water filters in the upland area of Little Sugar Creek where it flows through Charlotte’s Freedom Park.

Artsí Charlotte invites the community to attend the renowned cultural festival "Con A de Arte" on Friday, June 3 and Saturday, June 4. The events are free and open to the public.

On April 16th, McColl Center for Visual Art is pleased to have a booth at Sensoria Saturday, an event presented by CPCC that celebrates the arts. Representing McColl Center for Visual Art will be alumni artist, David Edgar. Located on their Central Campus, you are invited to join other arts enthusiasts from across the region during this all-day event that promises something for everyone, including fare from local restaurants, live concerts, hands-on activities for children and more.
