Join us from 6:30 to 7:30 PM on Tuesday, July 19 for an artist talk with Knight Artist-in-Residence, Sonya Clark and Artist-in-Residence, Thu Kim Vu from Vietnam. Admission is free.

“I am instinctively drawn to things that connect to my personal narrative as a point of a departure: a comb, a piece of cloth, or a strand of hair. I wonder at how each comes to have meaning collectively. What is the history of the object? How does it function? Why is it made of a certain material? These questions and their answers direct the form, scale, and material choices in my work."

Join us 7 to 9 PM, Tuesday, June 28 for a "poetry reading" with P. Scott Cunningham, Knight Writer-in-Residence. Cunningham will shake things up by adding a new level of theatricality and drama. Stripped of titles, introductions, and banter, Cunningham will tower above the audience as he stands atop custom scaffolding built on the exterior walls of McColl Center for Visual Art. And bring some dolla bills, we will be serving up $1 beers to stay cool.

Join Alumni Artists, Fahamu Pecou and Marcia Jones for a joint exhibition at the Gantt Center. The opening reception begins at 6PM on Friday June 24 , and the a gallery talk with both artists and Creative Director, Ce Scott will be held Saturday June 25 at 2PM.
