The galleries are currently closed for the installation of our fall exhibition, ZipStir: Installations by Hong Seon Jang and Jonathan Brilliant and our Fall Artist-in-Residence Exhibition. Galleries will reopen on Friday, September 3 and our Fall Artists-in-Residence begin their residency term on September 6. Please join us for an opening reception celebration as we welcome our new artists and exhibitions, Friday, September 24 from 6 to 9 PM.

The Center is decorating and we want your help! Post your favorite original photograph/image to our Facebook wall by 5 PM, Friday, August 27 and we will select a winner whose image will be printed, framed and hung in one of our artist-in-resident condos.

August 20th marks the closing reception for “Fried” and the end of the Center’s Summer Affiliate Artist term. The reception will be held on August 20th from 6 to 9 PM with a performance by de’Angelo Dia at 7:15 PM.

This playground isn't just for kids! Come explore, build, create and celebrate! McColl Center for Visual Art invites everyone young and old, to experience Community Day on Saturday, September 18, 2010 from 11 AM to 4 PM as our resident artists lead visitors through various playful and creative experiences. Community Day is part of the Arts & Science Council’s Cultural Free for All.

As painting on the ipad and iphone are quickly becoming a portable artist tool, the Center is offering our first “Digit-al Finger Painting” workshop on Saturday, October 9.
