NC Secretary of Cultural Resources, Linda Carlisle, today announced a new study that reveals the major impact of creativity on the state's economy. Carlisle and Commerce Secretay J. Keith Crisco, were on hand at McColl Center for Visual Art along with dignitaries from the NC Arts Council, Departments of Cultural Resources and Commerce as well as representatives from a host of local cultural organizations and the Arts and Science Council. She said the contributions of jobs and economic benefit contributed to the state's economy by the creative sector equals that of banking and transportation.
