I am creating site-specific erosion control sculptures at Freedom Park on Little Sugar Creek just outside of Uptown Charlotte. As an environmental installation artist, I design restorative art projects on public lands in urban and rural areas. I am collaborating with the Catawba Lands Conservancy, Carolina Thread Trail, Mecklenburg County Parks and Recreation Department, Charlotte Nature Museum, Queens University of Charlotte and other generous partners and volunteers.

The sculptures I’m creating are designed to give an ecological advantage to the Catawba River watershed and affect the balance of the riparian environment in measurable ways. After a period of time, as the restoration process is established, it is my intention that the artist's presence on the watershed is no longer apparent.
