Why Give?

How McColl Center for Visual Art is Supported
Why We Ask for Money

Annually, nearly 43% of the Center's support comes from grants and 9% from fees, commissions and other earned income.

The Center's programs are dependent on donor support for the remaining 48% of annual costs.

You are part of providing the rare gifts of time and space for artists from around the world to immerse themselves in the creative process and to refine and/or re-define their work.  You are a part of the artists' creative process and all that comes from it.

You will have ongoing opportunities to visit artists in their studios for insight into their creative process either during open houses, open studio Saturdays, gallery hours or special tours.  You have opportunities to buy the art created by resident artists in the Center's studios.

You will also receive timely information about:

  • Exhibitions of resident artists' works and special exhibitions throughout the year;
  • Opportunities for socializing and building professional relationships at Friday Open House receptions;
  • Opportunities to interact with resident artists during one of their community outreach projects;
  • The Innovation Institute
  • Workshops and Lecture/Discussions
  • Open Studio Saturdays
  • Discounted rate on workshops and Summer Art Institute classes
